CBC Residents on street Parking Permits increased by 28%

Chelmsford council have increased the charge for visitor parking tickets in residential zones by 67% from 1 July. The annual residential parking permits rise from £18 to £23, an increase of circa 28%. [Six monthly permits from £12 to £17.]

Residents over 65yrs will still be entitled to one free permit per property. Visitors ticket prices are rising as follows:

  • 1 hour tickets from £3 to £5, for ten tickets

  • 4 hour tickets from £9 to £15 for ten tickets

  • 6 hour tickets from £12 to £20 for ten tickets

Any applications received in CBC Offices on or after 1st July 2008 will be subject to the new charges.

Members currently in receipt of CBC Parking Permit Renewal forms for renewal after the 1st July 2008, should ensure that they are submitted without delay, to qualify for payment at the current rate, this also applies to the purchase of Visitor Tickets.
