Chelmsford Borough Council Election Results10.01.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 3rd May 2007 Counting of the votes for the 57 seats was completed just before 4.00am, Friday 4th May. The Liberal Democrats are up 4 seats; Labour down 2; Conservatives down 2. In the Chelmsford constituency, council seats are: Lib Dem 24; Conservative 10; Labour 0 Across the whole Borough, seats are: Lib Dem 24; Conservative 33; Labour 0 The Labour party have lost their only seats on Chelmsford Council to the Lib Dems, and fell into poor third places (or lower) across the Borough. It is very clear now that elections in Chelmsford are between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats.
