Matt speaking at the Churches Together debate in Maldon."We are the only effective voice of opposition to this weakened Labour Government"

Matt Lambert says a big thank-you to everyone who voted for him in the Maldon & East Chelmsford Parliamentary election. He said, "Despite fielding a small team and limited resources, we increased our vote against the massive efforts put in by the other two parties. The Lib Dem share was UP 4.2% and Labour DOWN by a crushing 6%.

Matt went on, "I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this success possible. I was deeply touched by the offers of help and support from people in all parts of the Constituency. There is clearly a lot of inherent support for our policies, and I hope we can build on that for the future."

With the Lib Dem parliamentary party the largest it has ever been, at 62 MPs, that support is clearly echoed throughout the country. With costed policies and and an effective voice in Parliament, we really are the only credible opposition to the weakened Labour Government."
